                Policies and Registration Information

Calumet College of St. Joseph is the provider of all graduate credits for the courses listed and taught through MTI.

Our Accredited Partner
Calumet College of St. Joseph, Whiting Indiana  is an independent co-educational, liberal arts institution, fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a member of the North Central Association.  CCSJ is accredited to offer master's, baccalaureate and associate's degrees, certificates, and diplomas by the Higher Learning Commission, a member of North Central Association (NCA) 30 N. LaSalle St., Chicago, IL 60602-2504, (800) 621-7440.  The college has been approved by the Indiana Professional Standards Board for the training of elementary and secondary teachers and holds membership in a number of state, regional and national educational and professional associations including the Independent College of Indiana, The Indiana Conference of Higher Education,  the National Catholic Educational Association and NCATE.

Requirements to Enroll
All MTI students must be educators or administrators with at least two years of work related experience and a bachelors degree.  Once you have registered for a class YOU MUST fax a copy of your Degree or unofficial transcripts to MTI at 1-888-831-0139 for verification purposes.  We can not process your registration without this information.

The Distance Learning courses are $350 each which includes (3) Accredited Graduate Level credits, textbook and all class materials.


Traditional Onsite courses are $450 each which includes (3) Accredited Graduate Level credits, textbook, and all class materials. 
    *45 hrs. of seat time with an instructor*

Online courses are $450 each which includes (3) Accredited Graduate Level credits, textbook, all class materials and access to our LMS (online Learning Management Software). Courses are 5 weeks in duration. Work on your schedule, from the comfort of home, no driving to class.

Summer Course MTI 599 is $450 each, which includes (3) Accredited Graduate Level credits, and any class textbooks and materials.
     *MTI 599 is Teaching Beyond the Textbook course where you will be traveling to    
       various educational sites*

Prices are subject to change.  We pride ourselves on being a low cost provider of quality graduate level educational courses throughout the United States.

Graduate Courses/Professional Development
The graduate courses offered by MTI are intended as professional development and salary lane enhancement for educators.  Credits earned are NOT degree-applicable at Calumet College of St. Joseph nor are they transferable.

To register for any type of MTI course simply visit our website at www.MidwestTeachersInstitute.org and click on courses.  MTI accepts Visa, MC, AMEX and Discover.  We do not accept checks, cash or money orders.

Once you have enrolled in a course, your confirmation,welcome letter and course instructions will be sent via email. 
***Important Note***Immediately after you hit the submit button on the registration page, you will receive a receipt of your course purchases.
Please print it out and keep for your tax records and school district.

Grade Information/Transcripts

MTI has an exclusive arrangement with Calumet College of St. Joseph to provide graduate credit for educators.  Once you receive your email with your grade for the course(s), you can contact the registrar at CCSJ via the following:

All transcript requests must be made in writing. You may fill out a Transcript Request Form in the Registrar's Office (download the form here) or send a letter to:

The request should include:

  • your full name(s)
  • your date of birth
  • your student number (social security number)
  • your daytime phone number
  • address of the person, school, or company to which the transcript is to be sent
  • your return address
  • your signature

A transcript cannot be ordered by telephone. You may send the request by fax instead of mail; however, the transcript itself will be mailed. Their fax number is (219) 473-4204 ATT: Registrar's Office.

There is no charge for the first transcript. Any additional transcript is $8.00 per transcript. Check, cash, or credit card is acceptable.  It takes 24 hours to process transcripts and they are normally mailed directly to the person, school, or company you indicated

Due to the compact and fast paced course schedule of our onsite classes, it is inadvisible for students to miss any class time. If a class is cancelled due to an emergency, inclement weather, or an unforseen circumstance, that class will be rescheduled.  If you need to miss class for an emergency or unforseen circumstance, your instructor will provide you with details on what needs to be accomplished so you may complete the course in a satisfactory fashion.
